Vehicle collided with 77-year-old man

The Bloomfield Township Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run traffic crash involving a pedestrian. (WDIV)

The Bloomfield Township Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run traffic crash involving a pedestrian.

The crash occurred along southbound Eastways Road south of E. Square Lake Road on Monday (Jan.) 30, at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Officials say the suspect vehicle is believed to be a white 2021-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with damage to the passenger side mirror.

The vehicle collided with a 77-year-old male resident who was near the roadway obtaining his mail. The suspect vehicle left the scene without stopping.

The man was transported to Trinity Health Oakland Hospital by Bloomfield Township Fire Department personnel with bodily injuries.
