SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A $1 million lottery prize remains unclaimed nearly a year after the winning ticket was sold in Oakland County.

The ticket was purchased March 17, 2023, at the CVS Pharmacy on West 10 Mile Road in Southfield. It matched the five white balls drawn: 26-28-29-39-49.

Time is running out for the winner to collect their prize. Michigan Lottery officials said Mega Millions tickets are valid for one year after the drawing, but since March 17 is a Sunday this year, the prize must be claimed by 4:45 p.m. March 15, 2024.

The winner should call the lottery’s Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to schedule an appointment. If the prize isn’t claimed in time, the money will go to Michigan’s School Aid Fund.
