Little Caesars Arena hosted two back-to-back Sweet 16 games on Friday

DETROIT – Basketball fans from across the country descended on Detroit for March Madness.

Little Caesars Arena hosted two back-to-back Sweet 16 games on Friday (March 29).

The tournament drew fans from all four teams: Purdue Boilermakers, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers, and the Creighton Bluejays.

The flood of visitors gave a preview of what Detroit can expect during the NFL draft in April.

“First time I’ve been anywhere downtown, and I’ve really been impressed,” a visitor from Tennessee said.

The winners of Friday’s games will compete in the Elite 8 on Sunday at Little Caesars Arena.
