$500 reward offered for info in armed robbery, car theft on Detroit’s east side

DETROIT – Police are asking for the community’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery on March 31.

The incident happened at about 5:20 a.m. at a gas station located on Harper Avenue, near Cadieux Road. According to authorities, a 40-year-old woman was inside the gas station when the suspect came in and stood behind her before grabbing her keys off the counter.

The victim attempted to retrieve her keys from the man, who reportedly pointed a handgun at her and left in the victim’s 2011 Chevrolet Malibu.

The vehicle has since been recovered.

The suspect was between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches and was wearing all black.
