Shooting in Oakland County parking lot leaves man hospitalized
A shooting in Farmington Hills hospitalized a man Tuesday morning.
It happened at about 8 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in a parking lot located near the intersection of 8 Mile and Orchard Lake roads. Police said when they responded to the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He is expected to be OK.
Several people were detained. Police said the cause of the shooting was the result of an ongoing workplace dispute between two employees.
There is no danger or threat to the public.
The cause of the shooting is unknown and remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Farmington Hills Police Department at 248-871-2610.
