Updated: December 12, 2024 at 7:34 AM
We’re starting off this morning with snow over a good portion of the region as we’ve been watching these lake effect snow bands set up overnight Wednesday and into early on Thursday morning.
The snow bands will sink south along and south of M-59 into the I-94, I-96 and I-696 region through the mid to late morning hours this morning, dropping a few inches of snow in some locations.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties until 10:00 a.m. Thursday Morning. These areas could see a storm total of 3” to 5” of snow in some locations before it’s all said and done.
Roads are looking slick Thursday morning in Metro Detroit. Local 4’s Shawnte Passmore was on the road with a photographer driving at 7 a.m. She’s been on the road all morning on Dec. 12 to give updates on road conditions. Take a look in the video above.
