Officials say bomb threat at Beaumont Troy not credible; Hospital remains open

TROY, Mich. – Officials said the bomb threat at Beaumont Troy was not credible, as the hospital remains open.

The Oakland University Police Department informed the community that a bomb threat was reported on Tuesday (June 10).

But soon after advising Oakland University students, faculty and staff to the premises to evacuate in an orderly manner, Corwell Health sent out an official statement deeming it not credible.

“Law enforcement and security believe that the threat is not credible.

The Troy Hospital and emergency center are open. Security, law enforcement and K9 teams remain onsite in an abundance of caution.

Safety is a top priority, and we appreciate the swift actions of our team members and law enforcement.”
