BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Bloomfield Township Animal Control Officer Summerfield rescued a drowning Fawn from a pool in a dramatic save.
The dramatic rescue occurred on June 15, 2025, when Summerfield rushed to the rescue of the fawn trapped and drowning under a pool cover.
Without hesitation, police said Summerfield jumped into the pool and pulled the young animal to safety .
Once out of the water, the fawn collapsed, unable to stand. However, after 40 minutes of gentle drying and massage, the fawn perked up and was able to return to its mother, who had been waiting nearby.
