I-75 construction update: Northbound closure delayed due to weather Closure rescheduled as weather disrupts I-75 project

DETROIT – A stretch of I-75 that was supposed to close this weekend will no longer be closed due to weather.

It was part of a project to add a protective surface to four bridges that had the bridge decks replaced in 2017-18 .
Initially, northbound I-75 from Schaefer Road to I-96 was supposed to close Friday, July 18, at 9 p.m. and reopen Monday, July 21, at 5 a.m.
The Michigan Department of Transportation confirmed Friday morning that the planned closure has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a future weekend.
