Westbound I-696 back open at Coolidge after crash

Westbound I-696 is back open at Coolidge Highway after it was closed Monday morning due to a crash.

The crash happened early on Monday, July 21, 2025, and involved multiple vehicles.

One of the vehicles involved caught on fire after the crash. Local 4 learned that the driver of that vehicle was able to make it out safely and seek medical treatment.
