DETROIT – Two suspects involved in a carjacking were arrested by Detroit police after they stopped to go fishing.
The drama unfolded after a carjacking in the 16000 block of Robson Street, sparking a search for the duo.
Officers, with help from both aviation and ground units, tracked the suspects until they stopped near Fort and Rademacher Street for a fishing detour.
This unexpected pause gave the police the perfect opportunity to swoop in and make the arrests.
The officers recovered the stolen vehicle, along with a firearm, two ballistic vests, and clothing that matched what the suspects wore during the crime.
