Man suspected of DUI crashes through Detroit Metro Airport fence onto airfield
Driver arrested on Thursday, Oct. 9, and released the following morning

ROMULUS, Mich. – A man was arrested after driving his car through the perimeter fence at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport near Middlebelt Road and Northline Road around 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9.
According to a statement from the airport, officials from the Wayne County Airport Authority quickly stopped the car on the airfield.

It’s suspected that the driver was under the influence at the time.
The driver was released the following morning.
Airport officials have not released additional details about the incident.
