DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is investigating a double homicide following a shooting on Detroit’s northwest side.
The incident occurred on Monday (Nov. 10) at 6:05 p.m. in the 2900 block of Puritan Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers said they found two men inside the building suffering from gunshot wounds.
Medical units were called to the scene.
Captain Timothy Jones of Detroit’s 12th precinct provided details on a fatal shooting that left two men dead.
“The first victim was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said Jones. “The second victim was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.”
The Detroit Police Department extended condolences to the victims’ families and friends.
Jones urged anyone in the neighborhood or community with information about the incident to come forward.
