DETROIT – A freighter carrying 18,000 tons of stone ran aground in the Detroit River on Thanksgiving Morning.

Local 4’s Windsor cam shows the freighter stuck near the William Milliken State Park in Detroit.
The United States Coast Guard in Detroit said it received a call at 1:17 a.m. Thursday that the freighter had run aground.
Coast Guard tug boats are trying to assist.
No injuries or pollution have been reported. Vessel traffic has not been affected.
