15-year-old taken into custody in Highland Park shooting that killed 13-year-old Investigation is ongoing

HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy in Highland Park.
The shooting happened just before 4 p.m., Nov. 25, near a Dollar General store on Woodward Avenue, near Manchester Street .
First responders found the 13-year-old boy collapsed in the parking lot . He was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police confirmed Monday, Dec. 8 , that a 15-year-old boy from Highland Park has been taken into custody. Charges are pending.
Since the suspect is a juvenile, further details were not revealed.
