Man accused of sexually assaulting 5-year-old at Detroit McDonald’s bound over Bond set at $250,000

DETROIT – A 34-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl at a McDonald’s on Detroit’s west side has been bound over for trial.
The alleged assault happened Oct. 30 at the McDonald’s restaurant on Michigan Avenue, near Larkin Street.
Joshua Joel-Eli Brown is accused of following a 5-year-old girl into the women’s restroom and sexually assaulting her before leaving the area.
He was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct in November and had his bond set at $250,000.
At his preliminary examination on Thursday, Dec. 11, Brown was bound over as charged. He remains jailed on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 18.
A bond redetermination hearing is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 7.
