Macomb County woman accused of stabbing ex-boyfriend, then crashing into several cars

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A woman was arrested after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in Clinton Township.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said Laquinn Smith, 24, and her ex-boyfriend were arguing at their apartment in Clinton Township on Dec. 11 before she allegedly stabbed him.

After the stabbing, she allegedly left the scene in her ex-boyfriend’s car, but was then involved in a crash with several other cars in the area of Hall Road and Romeo Plank in Sterling Heights. The crash remains under investigation.

An interim arraignment was held on Dec. 13, where Smith was charged with assault with intent to murder and aggravated domestic violence. Her bond was set at $250,000. Smith will be officially arraigned at a future date.
