Former Michigan staffer Paige Shiver revealed that during her years-long relationship with Sherrone Moore, she got pregnant.
The former executive assistant shared details about the pregnancy during an interview with ABC News’ Linsey Davis, which aired on Good Morning America on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Shiver said during the affair, she became pregnant with the former head coach’s child, but the pregnancy was complicated by a rare genetic disorder called Pompe disease.
It’s a “genetic condition in which a complex sugar called glycogen builds up in the lysosomes of your body’s cells,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.
It can cause severe muscle weakness, and “without early detection and treatment, the disease can be fatal,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Due to this, Shiver terminated the pregnancy.
“Multiple doctors and experts told me that it wouldn’t be right or healthy for me to keep the baby,” Shiver said in the interview.
When Davis asked Shiver if she wanted to keep the baby, Shiver became emotional and started to cry as she said, “Yeah.”
Moore responded to this by telling Shiver that she had to do what’s best for her body, according to the former staffer.
Shiver also revealed additional information about their years-long relationship, saying Moore had “complete control” over her, and that colleagues in leadership positions were aware of their relationship.
