Woman dies after being struck by car in Redford Township, police searching for driver

69-year-old woman was crossing road on crosswalk when she was hit by car

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A woman was struck by a car in Redford Township Sunday night, and police are searching for the driver.

The crash happened at the intersection of Schoolcraft and Telegraph on May 3 at around 11:30 p.m.

Redford Township police said a 69-year-old woman was trying to walk across the intersection using the crosswalk when she was struck by an unknown car traveling east on Schoolcraft.

The driver left the scene.

A possible description of the car was not provided. The investigation is ongoing.
