Storm aftermath: Tree crashes into home as severe weather sweeps through Metro Detroit

The homeowner said no one was inside at the time because the property is currently for sale

The severe thunderstorm warnings that went into effect earlier for Wayne, Macomb, and St. Clair counties have expired, but not before causing damage.

In St. Clair Shores, a tree fell onto a home on Monday (May 4), destroying part of the roof and the front of the house.

The homeowner said no one was inside at the time because the property is currently for sale.

The owners now plan to work with their insurance company to repair the damage.
