Orion Township, MI – The Orion Township Supervisor is confirming a 42-inch water main has broken in the township on Sunday morning.
Due to this water main break, this means there is no water from outside of its system flowing into homes and businesses in the area.

GLWA is asking people in the area to restrict water use to only what is absolutely essential.
The Township Supervisor says they have a water tower with 2.5 million gallons of water in it, but that’s roughly how much water is used in a day.
The Great Lakes Water Authority says you should be prepared to be without water for up to 14 days.
Township Supervisor Chris Barnett is being very direct with residents about the situation, telling them not to shower, do laundry or water your grass and to flush as little as possible.
GLWA has water trucks on the way to three locations in the area. In addition, the City of Rochester Hills is also issuing a Boil Water Advisory. No word yet on when that will be lifted.
