LIVONIA, Mich. – Police in Livonia are conducting an active search for a man believed to be connected to a break-in reported a day earlier after he was spotted walking through residential areas again.

Police said the man reappeared Thursday (May 14) afternoon, walking through residential yards near 6 Mile and Newburgh roads around 4 p.m. near Bloomfield Drive.

A homeowner reported seeing the man walking through yards in the neighborhood and contacted the police.

Officials said the suspect fled on foot after being spotted, prompting an ongoing manhunt in the area.

Police believe the individual is the same man involved in Wednesday’s reported break-in, during which security video captured him dressed in a coverall suit with boot covers, a mask, and gloves.

In the Ring video, the man is seen carrying a backpack and a screwdriver.

Police said they continued searching the neighborhood Thursday evening as the investigation remained active.

Residents in the area are encouraged to remain alert and report suspicious activity to the police.
