Two teens arrested, gun recovered

DETROIT – A teen boy was injured after a shooting Sunday evening in Downtown Detroit.

Police said two groups of teens met outside the Gucci store near Woodward and Grand River avenues on May 17 and had an altercation, resulting in multiple shots being fired.

A 14-year-old boy was struck by gunfire and was taken to a local hospital, where he is expected to be okay.

Police said two teens were arrested and a gun was recovered.

The shooting comes amid a wave of teen takeovers and a crackdown on the teen curfew. Detroit police said officers detained 60 teens over the weekend.
