TAYLOR, Mich. – The city of Taylor is offering two free citywide garage sale periods for the summer.
The first period May 22-31, the second will be Aug. 14-23.

What residents should know
Before hosting
- Residents hosting sales should hold them in relatively open areas.
- Residents hosting sales on their property should provide disposal containers, lined with plastic bags, that can be easily sealed and disposed of, during and after their events.
- Keep any advertising signage for your sale out of public rights-of-way, or easements.
After hosting
When the citywide rummage sale ends residents can dispose of unwanted items at the Taylor Hills Transfer Station and Compost Site.
The site is located at 16300 Racho Road and will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Residents must either use free dump privileges or pay to dispose of unwanted items.
Residents may not dump explosives, autos and auto parts, boats, concrete, hazardous waste, compost materials, tree branches, or tires.
No commercial dumping is permitted.
