Man found not guilty by jury in shooting at Garden City bar that injured father and son

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – A Livonia man on trial for a New Year’s Day shooting in Garden City that left a father and son in critical condition was found not guilty by a jury.

Brian Jaron Lindsay, 29, was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, two counts of assault and six counts of felony firearm.

Police said the shooting happened at a parking lot outside Rockstarz Bar on Jan. 1 at around 4 a.m.

Authorities believed a fight broke out between Lindsay and the victims, leading to Lindsay allegedly shooting the 55-year-old father in the head and the 22-year-old in the chest. Lindsay contacted police and turned himself in.

On June 17, a jury found Lindsay not guilty of all charges.
