Crews are searching for an 11-year-old girl who went missing in Lake Erie.
Authorities said the investigation began after a body was pulled from Lake Erie near Mienke’s Marina in Ohio on Thursday, July 2.

After a few hours, police learned an 11-year-old girl was on a boat with the deceased man, as well as her babysitter.
Police in Ohio said the three went out on a boat in Lake Erie on Wednesday night, and the man’s death appeared to be a “horrific accident.
The babysitter managed to swim ashore and speak with police about the incident. Crews are continuing the search for the child.
Coast Guard Sector Detroit watchstanders joined the search with Ohio crews to help find the 11-year-old girl.
According to the Coast Guard, many search crews reached their fatigue limits as all available resources were deployed. Crews continued the extensive search overnight and are continuing on Friday, July 3.
