WARREN, Mich. – The suspect accused of fatally stabbing someone inside their home before livestreaming the six-hour police standoff leading to their arrest was bound over last week on first-degree murder.

Dominick Robinson, 31, has remained in custody at the Macomb County Jail on a $2 million bond since Dec. 12, 2025 for the killing of Mucari Finley, a 29-year-old Flint native and decorated Metro Detroit chef.

Finley died at the scene from multiple stab wounds inside Robinson’s home, police said. The incident escalated further when Robinson allegedly refused to leave the home, resulting in six hours of negotiations with law enforcement that the suspect streamed on Facebook Live before their eventual arrest.

During the stream, the suspect claimed Finley sold drugs to the suspect’s partner that led to his death.

Investigators have not confirmed those allegations.

Finley’s family says he has no criminal history and was not a drug dealer.

“He was an amazing chef,” Candice Wroblewski, a friend of Finley’s, said in December. “He always wanted more. He loved the food scene in Detroit. He loved music. He loved his dog. We shared a lot of good times together.”

Robinson was bound over on one count of first-degree murder on June 30, following a preliminary exam in Warren’s 37th District Court.

In a news release issued on Thursday, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said the ruling confirms the abundance of evidence in the case, adding that his office will “prosecute this case with the seriousness it demands.”

Robinson is scheduled to be arraigned before Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Julie Gatti at 1:30 p.m. on July 13.
