Woman shot, another assaulted after large fight on Detroit’s west side

A 19-year-old was listed in critical condition and a woman in her 20s was listed in stable condition

DETROIT – A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition, and another woman was injured after a large fight led to a shooting on Detroit’s west side.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (July 6) at 8:50 p.m. in the 19900 block of Pinehurst Street.

Police said a large altercation occurred at the location before the shooting, though investigators said the circumstances remain under review.

The 19-year-old woman was shot and transported for treatment, where she was listed in critical condition.

A second victim, a woman in her 20s, was assaulted and is listed in stable condition.
