PONTIAC, Mich. – An Oakland County jury has found a 32-year-old Pontiac man guilty of first-degree murder and several other charges stemming from a fatal drive-by shooting in the city last year.
Tremaine Jevon Love was charged with first-degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and two counts of felony firearm for the fatal shooting of Thomas Jerrell Washington, 26, of Auburn Hills in June 2025.

Witnesses told authorities that a man in a gray car fired several shots near Auburn Avenue and Russell Street in Pontiac before fleeing from the scene. Washington suffered gunshot wounds to his wrist, torso and back and was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries. Multiple shell casings were found at the scene, police said.
Love was arrested hours later during a traffic stop in the area of Middlebelt and Long Lake roads in West Bloomfield Township. His trial began on July 14, 2026, and concluded on Monday. The jury found him guilty of all counts.
He is scheduled to be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 27.
