DIA brings student art to Guardian Building in 5th annual Wayne County High School Art Exhibition

If you have not been to the Guardian Building in downtown Detroit lately, there’s a reason to go this month.

The walls are covered in art right now, all made by high school students in Wayne County. It is the fifth annual Wayne County High School Art Exhibition, presented by the Detroit Institute of Arts.

There are drawings, photography, digital art, and mixed media — all from students in 9th through 12th grade. The art is on display through Aug. 24.

The building is open to the public every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
