Officials are warning the public not to approach the boy if he is spotted

DETROIT – Police are asking for the public’s help locating a 13-year-old boy wanted in connection with a non-fatal shooting on Detroit’s west side.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (Aug. 11) in the 18000 block of Bretton.

Police said the teen is considered armed and dangerous and was last seen driving a gray 2026 Rivian SUV.

Officials are warning the public not to approach the boy if he is spotted.

Anyone who comes into contact with him should immediately call 911 and provide their location, along with any information that could help responding officers.

Police have not released additional details about the shooting or the juvenile’s identity.
