REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Three people were found dead after a fire at an adult foster care home in Redford Township Saturday morning.
The fire happened at a home on Woodbine Avenue near Telegraph Road on Aug. 15.
When Redford Township firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke and active flames coming from inside the adult foster care home. Two people escaped the home safely. However, firefighters found three people dead inside during a search and suppression operation.
“Our deepest sympathies, thoughts, and prayers go out to the families, loved ones, and community affected by this devastating loss,” Redford Township Fire Chief Chris Mayes said in a statement on Saturday.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
