Family, friends honor woman killed in shooting on Detroit’s west side

DETROIT – Family and friends gathered to remember a young woman killed in a shooting Thursday night on Detroit’s west side.

The shooting happened just before 9:30 p.m. in the area of Whitcomb and Chicago Avenues on Aug. 13.

Tiffany Thompson was killed in the shooting, the suspect was also hurt and is in custody.

Investigators are still working on what led to the shooting.

A vigil was held on Sunday, where Tiffany’s family told Local 4 they are leaning of their memories of her.
