An Oakland County woman’s “in it to win it” mentality paid off when she won $100,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Extreme Green instant game online.

“I always forgot to purchase draw game tickets while I was at the store, so I started buying tickets online and playing other online games,” said the 62-year-old player who chose to remain anonymous. “When the $100,000 amount popped up while I was playing, I didn’t think it was real. It wasn’t until I saw the prize amount in my account balance that I believed I had actually won. It was shocking!”

The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to invest and help her family.

“I’ve always told my family that when it comes to playing the Lottery, ‘I am in it to win it,’” said the player. “I can’t believe it finally happened!”

Michigan Lottery players have a chance to win up to $500,000 instantly playing online. Players also may win prizes ranging from $1 up to multimillion-dollar jackpots playing Powerball, Mega Millions, Lucky for Life, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 online. Through its online platform, the Lottery offers players more than 90 different games with plays ranging in price from 5 cents to $20.
