1 fatally shot, intruder stabbed to death when 3 people break into Detroit home, police say
DETROIT – One person was fatally shot, another was injured and an intruder was stabbed to death when three people broke into a home in Detroit’s Bagley neighborhood over a liquor debt, according to police Chief James Craig. Police said three men broke into a home around 1 p.m. Monday in the 18000 block of Santa Rosa Drive in Detroit because of a $20 liquor debt. A 17-year-old boy inside the home was shot and killed, police said. Officials said the third person inside the home was not injured. “Upon forcing entry one person produced a gun and shot someone,” Detroit police Capt.
Detroits historic Bagley Mansion hits market for $3.2M

Bust of former Michigan governor rediscovered at DIA after 93 years
As detailed in a story in the Detroit Free Press, the bronze bust of former Michigan Gov. The bust was displaced in 1926 as Woodward Avenue and Campus Martius changed, and eventually stored at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). During his two terms as governor (1873-1877), he established the Michigan Board of Health, among other initiatives. Probably not, Austin told the Free Press.
