BAY CITY, MI — Crashing an SUV into a bicyclist on a Bay City street, only to then rob him, has netted a Saginaw man decades in prison. Bay County Circuit Judge Harry P. Gill on Monday, May 16, sentenced 34-year-old Morris A. Brown to two prison terms: 30 to 45 years and five to 15 years. Bicyclist, 67, hospitalized after hit-and-run crash
OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – A 67-year-old bicyclist is hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash Friday, Sept. 24, just east of Coopersville. The bicyclist, who lives in nearby Lamont, is in stable condition. The crash was reported around 7:45 a.m. in the 3500 block of Arthur Street, west of 32nd Street, in Wright Township, Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said. The injured man, whose name was not released, was riding his bicycle east on Arthur when he was struck by the vehicle. Bicyclist, 48, dies in Muskegon County crash
NORTON SHORES, MI – A bicyclist died in a crash Monday evening. A 48-year-old Muskegon man died after a crash with a car at the intersection of Henry Street and West Summit Avenue around 7:35 p.m. May 3, Norton Shores Police Lt. Marc Vanderstelt said. The bicyclist was heading north on Henry Street and attempted to cross Summit Avenue while he had a red light, the preliminary investigation shows. An 18-year-old Muskegon Heights woman was driving west on Summit Avenue when she hit the bicyclist, who pulled out in front of her, police said. Bicyclist killed in Branch County crash
BRANCH COUNTY, MI – A bicyclist was killed Monday, April 12, when she was struck by a vehicle. The victim, a 25-year-old Coldwater woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened on South Angola Road near Nye Road in Branch County’s Ovid Township, state police said. Bicyclist seriously injured in Kent County crash
KENT COUNTY, MI – A bicyclist was seriously injured Monday, March 22, when he was struck by a vehicle at 44th Street SW and Byron Center Avenue. The bicyclist, a 19-year-old Wyoming man, was hospitalized, Wyoming police said. Preliminary investigation showed that the bicyclist was riding in the crosswalk against the light when he was struck by a westbound vehicle on 44th Street. Bicyclist dies after being struck by 2 vehicles in Holland area
HOLLAND, MI -- A 42-year-old bicyclist died after he was struck by two vehicles while riding on Waverly Road in Holland Township, police said. He was riding a bicycle in the right lane, going south on Waverly Road about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, when he was struck from behind by a vehicle.
