news.yahoo.comMarilyn Manson sued by Game of Thrones' Esmé Bianco for alleged sexual assault and human trafficking
After coming forward with sexual abuse allegations against rock star Marilyn Manson, Game of Thrones star Esmé Bianco is taking him to court. Bianco on Friday filed a lawsuit against Manson, accusing him of rape and sexual battery, Rolling Stone reports. The actress, who played Ros on Game of Thrones, also alleges that Manson violated human trafficking laws when he brought her to Los Angeles from London to star in projects that were never made or released. Bianco first leveled her allegations against Manson earlier this year, accusing him of physically and sexually abusing her during their relationship. The lawsuit alleges Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, "used drugs, force, and threats of force to coerce sexual acts from Ms. Bianco on multiple occasions" and accuses him of raping her, groping her in public, and "spanking, biting, cutting, and whipping Ms. Bianco's buttocks, breasts, and genitals" without consent. In one incident, Manson allegedly locked Bianco in a bedroom, "tied her to a prayer kneeler, and beat her with a whip that Mr. Warner said was utilized by the Nazis" and "electrocuted her." The lawsuit alleges he also once chased her "around the apartment with an ax," cut her "with a Nazi knife during sex," and kept her "awake for days at a time and then would lock her out of the apartment overnight." Additionally, Manson is accused of having "employed fraud" by bringing Bianco to the U.S. based on the promise of "work opportunities that never appeared while inserting himself in her visa process" so that he could "control Ms. Bianco by threatening to withdraw support if she displeased him." Numerous other women have also come forward with abuse allegations against Manson, including Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood, who alleged in February that he "horrifically abused me for years." Manson has denied the allegations and said that "my intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners." Gorman, speaking at a session at Advertising Week with "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah in New York Wednesday, said Snapchat's original series "Endless Summer" was watched by 28 million people, more than the number of people who watched the finale of HBO's "Game of Thrones." 'Game of Thrones' looks poised to torch more Emmy records
(CNN) - There are plenty of games within the game at this Sunday's Emmy ceremony, but none more intriguing than whether "Game of Thrones" will go out in another blaze of glory, torching the field one more time after its polarizing final season. Still, there are several more milestones that could fall on Sunday, when the main Emmy ceremony is televised by Fox. Three more wins ("Thrones" is nominated in seven remaining categories) would bring the overall 2019 trophies to 13, eclipsing the show's own record of 12, reached in both 2015 and 2016. For starters, those most vocal in their criticism of the final season probably aren't entirely representative of the wider audience base. The Emmy Awards will air Sept. 22 at 8 p.m.

Martin is working on a project set roughly 300 years before events depicted in the series, according to Deadline. HBO has already produced another related pilot that takes place thousands of years before "Game of Thrones," starring Naomi Watts. Additional spinoffs of the series were placed in development when HBO learned that "Thrones" would be ending, as the cable network -- like CNN, a unit of WarnerMedia -- sought to retain a connection to its most popular franchise. Martin has periodically kept fans abreast of possible additions to the "Game of Thrones" mythology via his blog.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - The clamor from "Game of Thrones" fans for a do-over of the drama's final season has been in vain. There are few downsides to having a hugely popular show like "Game of Thrones," Bloys said, but one is that fans have strong opinions on what would be a satisfying conclusion. Emmy voters proved unswayed by petitioners demanding a remake: They gave "Game of Thrones" a record-breaking 32 nominations earlier this month. HBO will want to keep the fan fervor alive for the prequel to "Game of Thrones" that's in the works. Asked whether negative reaction to the "Game of Thrones" conclusion will shape the prequel, Bloys replied, "Not at all."

Bloys also denied that network executives had meddled with the series through copious notes to creators David Benioff and D.B. In response to whether the criticism has changed how HBO will approach its planned prequel to the medieval-style fantasy series, Bloys said, "It has not at all."

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(CNN) - The Emmys usually offer a mix of old and new, but sentimental favorites could be more pronounced at this year's nominations, with "Game of Thrones" defending its crown, "Veep" waging its final campaign and "The Big Bang Theory" having a shot at one last big bang. New series can bring freshness to the awards, even if "The Kominsky Method" brings old pros Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin into play. Wild cards include NBC's quirky "The Good Place," Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Amazon import "Fleabag," and Netflix's "GLOW" and "Russian Doll." In that respect, if the 2019 Emmys feel messier and more disjointed than usual, they might just be a teaser of what's to come. The main Emmy telecast will be held Sept. 22 and televised live by Fox.

New species of bee fly named after 'Game of Thrones' characterCANBERRA, Australia - Australian scientists have the thrilling task of naming different species of animals that are found, and this year a species of bee fly was named after a character from "Game of Thrones." The fly is just one of 230 species that the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization in Australia has named so far this year. All names have to have a combination of a genus name, which comes first, and a species name. "Xuankun Li, who named the bee fly Paramonovius nightking, is a PhD student at CSIRO and a huge fan of 'Game of Thrones,' proving that inspiration for new species names can come from anywhere," entomologist Dr. Bryan Lessard said in a statement. Other newly named species include a cusk eel named Barathronus algrahami, after fish collection manager Al Graham, and a tiny soldier fly from Judbarra National Park, Northern Territory, named Prosopochrysa lemannae, in honour of insect technician Cate Lemann.
