Body of fatally shot tow truck driver found on Lodge Service Drive on Detroit’s west side
DETROIT – The body of a 62-year-old tow truck driver was found Saturday laying on the Lodge Service Drive. According to authorities, the man was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds at about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of the John C Lodge Service Drive and Wyoming Avenue. Shooter returns to crime scene and fires shots at officers before fleeing again
Police say a 30-year-old man in a black Dodge Charger allegedly fired shots at several people who were selling food in the area. The shooter fled the scene afterward. When officers responded to the scene to investigate the shooter returned and allegedly started firing shots at officers and others who were present. He fled the scene, which led to a police chase. During the police chase the shooter hit two vehicles before getting out of his car and running away on foot.
