Crews are working to help clean up a leak that occurred Downriver.

After a draft of a Supreme Court ruling was leaked, suggesting that the high court intends to overturn Roe v. Wade, businesses across the U.S. are facing pressure to take a side or make their position on the issue known.

Despite a few centuries of experience as the epicenter of American politics, Washington seldom chooses the “been there, done that” path when a fresh frenzy is there for the taking.

When community members heard about the burglary of Amor Natural Way Hair Salon, they stepped into help the salon owner.

“They used the bathroom. They did a number two and then they stuffed it with paper towels, not the toilet paper and they stole the plunger,” Amor said. “They didn’t flush it. Then took the plunger, it’s the oddest thing.”

FRANKLIN, Mich. – A gas leak along Franklin Road has prompted evacuations at businesses and residences Tuesday morning. Police are calling the leak “major” and are asking drivers to avoid downtown Franklin Road for the next few hours. The road is shut down. DETROIT Ford is recalling about 2.5 million vehicles in the U.S., Canada and elsewhere because of a nagging door latch problem and a brake fluid leak. The recall covers vehicles in the U.S. and includes the 2012 to 2015 Ford Focus, the 2013 to 2014 Ford Fusion, the 2011 to 2014 Ford Fiesta, and the 2013 to 2015 Ford Escape and C-Max. Also covered are the 2013 and 2014 Lincoln MKZ, the 2015 Lincoln MKC, the 2015 Ford Mustang and the 2014 to 2016 Ford Transit Connect van. The brake fluid recall covers certain 2014 through 2017 F-150s in the U.S. and Canada. Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder and the brake booster if it is leaking.
