UPDATE AT 7:15 A.M.Monroe County Central Dispatch confirms that Monroe County 911 is back in service. The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office posted via Facebook that Lenawee County's 911 service is back up and working. A motorcyclist and his passenger died Thursday after a crash in Macon Township. The crash happened at about 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Britton Highway and Milwaukee Road, a news release from the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office said. Drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash, according to Lenawee County Undersheriff Jeff Ewald. The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office released the names of the victims Friday afternoon. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Tecumseh and Ridgeway Township fire departments and the Tecumseh Police Department.

A motorcyclist and his passenger died Thursday after a crash in Macon Township. The crash happened at about 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Britton Highway and Milwaukee Road, a news release from the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office said. The 67-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said. The 65-year-old woman was flown from the scene to the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor where she died. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Tecumseh and Ridgeway Township fire departments and the Tecumseh Police Department.
