Tigers await status of Michael Lorenzen to finalize starting rotation
Although Opening Day is March 30 -- just six days -- the Tigers won’t need a fifth starter until April 5. If Lorenzen can’t go, Wentz remains the easiest backup plan, but the Tigers do have other options. If it looks like Lorenzen might miss only one start, the Tigers could just add an extra reliever to the roster to soak up the lost innings.
