Grand Rapids Community College picks presidential search firm, seeks public input
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Grand Rapids Community College is enlisting the help of the Mississippi-based search firm that helped hire outgoing President Bill Pink in 2017 to search for his replacement. Trustees are looking for public feedback to GRCC’s leadership profile and the ongoing presidential search process. The public can attend virtually or in person, in the board library on the fifth floor of Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall, 143 Bostwick Ave. in Grand Rapids. In Michigan, the firm assisted Montcalm Community College with a presidential search in 2019, and GRCC with multiple searches including the 2016 presidential search and a 2019 provost search.

BIG RAPIDS, MI - Ferris State University announced Monday that Grand Rapids Community College President Bill Pink is the sole candidate to take the reins from outgoing President David Eisler. The decision follows a national search led by a board advisory committee that included the trustees, faculty, staff, students and community. Pink has served as GRCC president since July 2017. Pinck was GRCC’s first Black president and will also be the first for Ferris State. Pink is well-known in the Grand Rapids area, but he is no stranger to the Ferris State University community, according to Anna Seibold, chair of the FSU Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Advisory Committee.
