The Monroe Family YMCA has added Emergency Childcare for Essential Workers and Senior Citizen wellness checks to the community services it is providing in response to the coronavirus outbreak. "Although we miss seeing our members tremendously, it is encouraging that we are still able to serve our community through our innovative methods with incredible partners," Kristin Irwin, Monroe Family YMCA CEO, said in a news release. The Emergency Child Care service is open 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, and is meant for those who are 'essential workers' during this time. The Y staff is also calling its senior citizen members as part of a Senior Wellness Check outreach. For those who are seeking ways to help the community during this time, the Monroe Family YMCA welcomes financial donations.
