Fire destroys Washtenaw County golf clubhouse causing more than $1M in damage
WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A quickly-spreading fire destroyed a Washtenaw County golf course clubhouse Wednesday night. Crews arrived to find the golf course’s clubhouse engulfed in flames and called for additional support, officials said. The fire caused more than $1 million in damage, officials said, adding the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Ann Arbor Township Fire Department, Ypsilanti Fire Department, Ypsilanti Township Fire Department, Salem Township Fire Department, Northfield Township Fire Department, Northville Township Fire Department, Plymouth Fire Department, Canton Fire Department, Huron Valley Ambulance, the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office and HART assisted at the scene.
