Get ready for the first Diana Ross album filled with all original songs in decades
Detroit’s own, Diana Ross, has just announced she will release a new album this year. The album will be her first with all original songs since 1999′s “Every Day Is A New Day” and her first album release since 2006′s “I Love You.” That album featured mostly covers. “Thank You” will be the 25th studio album by the Motown Legend and will be released on September 10 through Decca Records. According to the Associated Press, Ross began working on this new album just before last year’s studio lockdown, but the singer was able to record the vocals for the songs in her home studio. Viewers will get a rare glimpse of openness and vulnerability -- and an open space where young Black men speak freely about their views and experiences, and share with mentors and peers in the community. This local Neo Soul artist sings about the different ways to feel love
Alex Way is a local musician who has been performing ever since she was 4-years-old. After getting her start in her church choir, she picked up violin and has been making music ever since. She describes her music as Neo Soul and also a little R&B. Her most recent project is titled “Phases”, and gets into how she feels love in different ways. Each song covers a different kind of love, including self-love, community love, and love for friends and family.
Rural Michigan city named the ‘Nicest Place in America’ in 2020
BUCHANAN, MI - Out of every place in the country, a small city in Michigan has just been named the “Nicest Place in America” in 2020. Album also was part of the “Nicest Places” Advisory Council." From these submissions, Reader’s Digest editors and an advisory council, including Albom, selected the 50 honorees of Nicest Places in America, one for each state, with Buchanan being named the nicest of them all. Reader’s Digest launched its “Nicest Places" in 2017. In 2018, Nicest Places told the story of Yassin Terou, a Syrian refugee whose falafel restaurant has become an engine of kindness and charity in Knoxville.
