Rebecca Naomi Jones and Patrice Covington, who play Aretha Franklinโs sisters on the show, Carolyn and Erma Franklin, spoke with Live In The D Host, Jason Carr about the series. DETROIT โ Wayne County Judge Craig Strong is a Detroit icon who has done so much while on the bench, and continues to be a trailblazer even through his retirement. In 2019, Alex Trebek made the difficult decision to share his cancer diagnosis with the public, but it raised awareness. By doing that, he raised so much awareness about pancreatic cancer. One of the issues with public awareness is that unfortunately the patients donโt live long enough to tell their story and to raise awareness,โ Fleshman said. โIt really allows people and the general audience to understand that pancreatic cancer is real, and it can affect you or it can affect me,โ said Dr. David Kwon, clinical director of Henry Ford Pancreatic Cancer Center. Trebek died from pancreatic cancer about 20 months after he was diagnosed, but his shared journey has left a lasting impact.

Television icon Regis Philbin dies at 88
Regis Philbin, the legendary broadcaster who hosted the talk show "Live With Regis & Kathie Lee!" and later "Live With Regis & Kelly!," has died at age 88. Philbin died of natural causes on Friday night according to a representative with the family. Philbin had hosted multiple television shows, including Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee, Americas Got Talent and more.
