Macomb County unveils new interactive roads system
Help could soon be on the way for Macomb County drivers
MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A new, interactive system unveiled Monday is expected to help Macomb County drivers steer clear of trouble and get updates on the roads.
Macomb County Roads: Conditions and Costs is a web-based portal that includes information about currently available funds to fix the roads; a list of planned projects for 2018; and information about how roads are maintained and preserved.
"This new tool makes it easy for the public to learn more about the condition of our roads and the estimated costs to bring them into good condition," Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel said.
One of the reasons Macomb County created the mapping system is because of the amount of damaged roads scattered throughout the county. Macomb County takes care of more than 1,700 miles of roads.
