Sunny Opening Day in Metro Detroit kicks off stretch of clear skies, mild temps

Easter weekend looking nice (for once)

We have a cooler and breezy start to the morning in the wake of a passing cold front. Expect gusty winds of 25-30 mph through the morning hours.

Today’s sunrise is at 7:08 a.m.

Skies will continue to clear today.

Expect plenty of sunshine for Opening Day at Comerica Park in Detroit.

Although temperatures will be more seasonal, we’ll top out in the low-to-mid-50s. There will be a little chill in the air with wind gusts around 25 mph during the afternoon.

Tonight’s sunset is at 8:05 p.m.

Temperatures will drop down to around the freezing mark Thursday night, supported by clearing skies. This begins a stretch of days with rather clear skies.

Warmer Easter weekend

We’ll stay in the 50s for highs through Saturday. Easter Sunday is shaping up to be pleasant with sunshine and highs close to 60 degrees.
