4Warn Weather – After some much-needed sunshine and a little warmer temperatures working throughout our Wednesday, we will continue the warming trend as we look ahead into the upcoming holiday weekend. But, we will also bring in chances for rain.

Thursday

Thursday is the first official day of winter, and it’s not going to be as cold as it could be for the start of winter; temperature is heading for the lower 40s Thursday afternoon, and expect an increase in cloud cover as we head throughout much of the day with skies becoming mostly cloudy.

Weekend forecast

Our next chance of rain moves into the region, as we had throughout the late day hours on Friday. The rain should primarily work in after dinner time, stick around through the late night and overnight hours, and into the start of the day on Saturday. High temperatures remain in the lower 40s for Friday and heading for the middle 40s by Saturday.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve on Sunday, we will keep some dry weather around, but overcast skies will be the rule of the day. Temperatures continue the warming trend, heading into the upper 40s by Sunday afternoon.

Christmas

Looking ahead into the forecast for Christmas day on Monday, after the bitter, cold, and snowy weather we had last year, we’ve done an about-face, and we are going to be about 15° above average for a high temperature. We keep the cloud cover around for most of the day.

Expect rain showers to move into the region in the evening hours on Christmas night and then stick around into the middle of next week as well. High temperatures remain in the low 50s starting on Christmas day and continuing into the middle of next week.
