Windy ahead of Easter weekend rain in Metro Detroit: What to know

Mild, dry rest of the week

4Warn Weather – Our Wednesday begins with a mild start. Temperatures won’t budge much throughout the day.

Clouds will be stubborn to start before breaking later this afternoon.

Temperatures will fall to cooler than average this afternoon, with highs only in the mid-40s. Winds will be gusting upward of 20 mph throughout the day.

Tonight’s sunset is at 7:54 p.m.

Sunshine, more 50s

We’ll be welcoming back the low to mid-50s by the end of the week. Plan for plenty of sunshine on Thursday and Good Friday.

Rain this weekend

A chance for scattered showers will arrive on Saturday. Southern counties will likely be affected by rain starting Saturday morning, before the showers become more widespread by Saturday night.

The rain may last through the evening hours on Saturday, but should be gone by daybreak on Sunday.

So, those Easter egg hunts should be dry Sunday morning. We’ll wake up to 30s on Sunday, but highs will soar into the upper 50s. Expect intervals of clouds and sun.

Widespread rain will return later on Monday into Tuesday.

Nationally, wet weather continues across the southeast U.S. coast through Thursday. Unsettled conditions arrive over the Northwest on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a warming trend will begin over the central U.S. on Thursday.
